I do see that the software was updated on the 20th of this month (so only a few days ago) and am wondering if the update is not stable, and if an older version would be better? I run Windows 7 64-bit.Īny help would be greatly appreciated as I want to get this sorted ASAP. I just purchased TI 2017 and ditto there. It has worked fine with Win10 UEFI and not, dual boot and not. So, I have been using Acronis True Image 2015 since it came out.

First as I have stated repeatedly, I DO NOT install it. Do note though that I did uninstall Seagate before installing this WD version, and when it failed the first time I then made sure no folders of Acronis were around as well as checking through areas of the registry I could find on various forums that would need to be removed. A few people asked me about using Acronis True Image and Win10. Made the move to Win 7, installed Acronis on the Win 7 install and when I tried to restore, Acronis said the backup was corrupt. I had installed the Seagate version of Acronis before as I was going to purchase a Seagate drive and that installed perfectly fine. My experience with Acronis True Image Home 2009: backed up my data from an XP Pro machine to external drive, backup showed it was successful and I could access my info on the drive. Obviously, to clone the my HDD to the new one, I will need this software (as its free). There was no other important information (I think) on the blue screen. *** vididr.sys (Then the address, base at and dates) The outcome in more detail: 1) Acronis True Image + All went very smoothly. My only success story is with Acronis True image. First partition on the drive in every case. *** STOP: 0x0000007E (Then some parameters) 1) Acronis True Image (commercial, 15-day free trial available) 2) Norton Ghost 2003 (commercial) 3) PartImage (free) Everything was with bootable, primary, active NTFS partitions. Acronis True Image: backups deleted from Acronis Cloud storage cannot be restored. Acronis True Image Errors Out with Unable to create volume snapshot. Acronis True Image: A Backup Attempt Fails with 'Failed to read data from the disk'. However unfortunately during installation, my laptop crashes and goes to a blue screen with the information: Acronis True Image 2015: No Restart Option During Clone Operation. I thought it best to get ready and install the Acronis True Image provided by WD and make sure I can set the clone as soon as I got the hard drive. I have purchased a WD5000BPKT which I expect to receive on Friday.
